People is talking about 2012 like this is the end of the world.
Now this has been a known fact that the 13th baktun in the Mayan long count calendar starts on the 21st december 2012, but let us be serious about one thing:
The mayan calendar doesn’t have anything planned for the first day of the 13th baktun.
The reason why people is so concerned with the end of the world is that the 13th baktun starts. Why? Because people are afraid of the number 13.
In other words: Pure superstition from narrow-minded persons who prefer the fear of God instead of opening up to the goods that science can give to us. And let’s remember that it is the narrow-minded people who are the most aggressive people and opposes changes the most.
I know what most likely will happen the 21st December next year. The sun will rise up, it will walk across the sky giving us light for one more day, and then slowly decend into a calm night.
That is what happened the day when the LHC was tested the first time. People feared a black hole would be created to gulp up the earth that day. Nothing happened. So why be so fearful of yet another day? You’re unlikely to have any problems if you release your fear of the future, and focus on your tasks today.
